Sublimation

Sublimation is a printing technique that involves transferring designs onto materials using special sublimation dyes. These dyes, when heated, turn into a gas and permeate the fabric, creating a vibrant and durable print. This process is particularly effective on polyester fabrics or materials with a high percentage of polyester, as the synthetic fibers can better absorb and retain the sublimated ink. It’s important to note that sublimation is less effective on natural fibers, which don’t bind with the dye in the same way.

One of the key benefits of sublimation printing is the long-lasting and high-quality result it produces. The designs don’t crack, peel, or wash away, making it a popular choice for custom clothing, sportswear, banners, flags, and other items where durability and quality are essential.

In terms of equipment, sublimation printers can vary in size and capabilities. For instance, some are designed to handle roll materials up to 155 cm in width, allowing for larger designs and continuous printing on fabrics. This capability is particularly useful for producing larger items or for high-volume printing needs.
